Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari received Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday, where the two discussed strengthening ties in trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
President Zardari welcomed the ambassador and reaffirmed the close and time-tested relationship between Pakistan Saudi Arabia.
He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have long-standing ties shaped by common beliefs, cultural closeness, and years of mutual trust.
“It’s a relationship built on more than just diplomacy, it’s a bond rooted in shared history and values,” the president remarked.
President Zardari also invited Saudi investors to take a closer look at Pakistan’s growing economy, saying there are real opportunities in sectors like energy, infrastructure, farming, and tourism.

He mentioned that the government is offering business-friendly policies to make it easier for foreign investors to set up businesses and succeed.
“Our partnership has stood the test of time, and there is great scope to take it to the next level, especially in the economic and cultural domains,” the president said.
He also noted that Islamabad and Riyadh often find themselves on the same page when it comes to key international and regional matters, and that both countries continue to support each other in various global forums.

President Zardari thanked Saudi Arabia for consistently standing by Pakistan during difficult times, offering both financial and diplomatic support when needed.
He requested the ambassador to convey his warm wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
