Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir: Kashmiris Disclose India’s Fraudulent Act On August 5, 2019

-

Srinagar, 5 August 2024 (TDI): To express their strong dissent and resistance against the Indian government’s illegitimate and fraudulent action conducted on this day in 2019, Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC), in Pakistan and worldwide, are observing today, August 5, as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir.

On this day in 2019, the media claims that India had directly abolished the special status of Indian unlawfully occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and imposed an unprecedented military and police siege in the occupied area, in flagrant defiance of global law and UN resolutions.

Enforced Kashmir’s Black Day

In order to raise awareness of the dire situation in Occupied Kashmir caused by the unprecedented repression that Indian forces have unleashed in the region, people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and the Kashmiri diaspora are organizing protest demonstrations, seminars, rallies, and other events in major global cities on this day, which is also being observed as Black Day in India.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for the observation of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (APHC).

The illegal action of August 5, 2019, when the Indian government unilaterally revoked Kashmir’s Special Status by abrogating Articles 370 and 35-A of the Indian Constitution, is being protested by Pakistan as well as marking Youm-e-Istehsal today.

The Indian regime, led by the Hindutva-influenced BJP, unlawfully and unilaterally revoked the Special Status of Kashmir five years prior on August 5, 2019, by abrogating Article 370 and 35-A of the Indian constitution.

The Prime Minister, President, and Armed Forces of Pakistan Reinstate Their Unwavering Support for the People of Kashmir

Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and military chiefs have reiterated their unwavering sympathy with the courageous and tenacious people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their remarks on Youm-e-Istehsal.

On the fifth Youm-e-Istehsal , I stand with the entire Pakistani nation in expressing unwavering solidarity with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. The people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir must be granted their legitimate and inalienable right to self-determination, as mandated by the relevant UN Security Council resolutions. The international community must make efforts to ensure justice and peace in the region.

The UNSC resolutions on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), aspirations of Kashmiris, and international law have all been completely disregarded by India, according to President Zardari’s speech on Youm-e-Istehsal. This was stated beginning on August 5, 2019.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated in his message that Kashmiris would continue to receive Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support until their fundamental right to self-determination is realized.

On Youm-e-Istehsal, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Services Chiefs, and the Pakistan Armed Forces paid heartfelt homage to the Occupied Kashmiri martyrs for their extraordinary sacrifices and reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to morally, politically, and humanitarianly supporting the people of Kashmir in their righteous struggle against oppression and tyranny.
