Sana’a, 20 November 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Yemen, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed bilateral cooperation with the Foreign Minister of Libya, Najlaa Manqoush.
The meeting took place during the seventeenth session of the Manama Dialogue Conference. The two discussed bilateral trade and relations between Libya and Yemen.
Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak requested to increase the bilateral activities between the countries. The objective was to increase the latest developments amid the political situation in Yemen.
During the meeting, both the Ministers viewed the political and economic developments in Yemen. They also discussed the Houthi militia’s refusal to submit to peace and their continuation of aggression.
He showed concern regarding the Marib battle and its heroes against the aggression of the Houthi militias. The Foreign Minister of Libya expressed her gratitude and wished the government of Yemen a tremendous amount of success in the future.
Bin Mubarak, underscored collaboration between Libya and Yemen for security, stability, and peace in the process, is paramount. On the contrary, the Libyan Minister expressed her keenness to support Yemeni legitimacy, unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Libya will support all regional and international efforts to conduct peace in Yemen. Specifically with reference to the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and applicable UN Security Council resolutions, the most important of which is the international resolution No. 2216.
Yemen and Libya governments have started expanding the maritime and energy infrastructures. The two share a powerful bond.
