Beijing, 16 September 2021 (TDI): The President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping will participate in the 21st SCO Council of Heads of State meeting via video link on Friday. Xi will also take part in a joint summit of leaders SCO and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on Afghan issues.
The Tajik President Emomali Rahmon invited Xi Jinping to the summit and CSTO. China has been a key player in the region and played a vital role in recent development.
China’s involvement in the Afghan reconciliation process has given it a prominent value, moreover, the Taliban have also manifested alacrity to join China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
SCO Summit happens routinely under the articulated framework of SCO to discuss the multilateral issues; deepen the regional ties and promulgate the future trajectory.
