Xi Jinping sends condolences to Putin

Beijing, 11 October 2021 (TDI): On Monday, the Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a condolence message to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the plane crash in Russia. 

President Xi Jinping said in his message that it was a shock to hear drastic news of the plane crash. The crash happened at Tatarstan territory in Russia. Unfortunately, it caused a large number of casualties, including passengers and plane authorities. He expressed his deep condolences on the incident and showed deepest sympathies for the victim families.

He also sent heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Chinese people and government, to the families and friends of those who died in that incident, with hope that the devastated loss will be recovered soon.

According to a Russian news agency, the plane carried a total of twenty passengers. Sixteen died after the pilot reported engine failure. The plane crashed near the Menzelinsk city. It hit a parked van with its wings, six people were rescued.
