They spoke about the situation in Afghanistan and the importance of finding a political solution that safeguards human rights. The Deputy Secretary praised the Uzbek government for assisting in the return of Americans and expressed his appreciation for their continuing assistance in the temporary relocation of vulnerable Afghans.
