Hanoi, 10 September 2021 (TDI): Standard Chartered Bank of Vietnam and the British Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam (Britcham) in a signed a partnership agreement have agreed to promote sustainable development in Vietnam. It will follow the sustainable development application in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) among businesses. It will also provide members the latest insights on the global practices and local environment.
Jointly held by both sides, they will launch and conduct a series of six webinars on matters related to ESG and sustainability. This can support businesses and organizations to have effective strategies for their sustainable development. In particular, it would help them create long-term, resilient growth benefiting ESG with its aim to a sustainable world path to net-zero by 2050.
The events will involve key relevant stakeholders from the government, regulators, and industry leaders. The first webinar of the sustainability series will be held on September 28 and will discuss carbon markets and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the context of Vietnam.
