Washington, 07 September 2021 (TDI): Spokesperson of US Secretary of State Ned Price, on behalf of the USA, strongly condemned the unjust detention of 45 Crimean Tatars, including Deputy Chairman Nariman Dhezal of the Crimean Tatar Majlis.
The USA called detainment ‘politically motivated raids against the Mejlis’ due to its opposition to the Russian occupation of Crimea and, demanded that Russia should immediately release the Deputy Chairman Dhezal and other detainees
The Russian news agency reported that Crimeans were detained because of their alleged involvement in a gas pipeline damaged in Perevalnoye village.
It is to recollect that the USA and Ukraine had recently signed an agreement that particularly concentrates on Russian occupation in Crimea.
