Washington: July 26, 2021 – (TDI): The Secretary of the United States of America, Antony J. Blinken communicated with the President of Tunisia, Kais Saied. Secretary Blinken accentuated the strong bilateral relationship between both nations while reiterating the US resolve to assist the public of Tunisia to counter the double challenges of an economic crisis and the pandemic. He urged the Tunisian president to promote democracy and human rights and to openly communicate with all of the political actors. He also expressed that the US will keep on monitoring the situation.
