Telephonic contact between US Secretary and Peruvian President-elect


Washington: July 26, 2021 – (TDI): The Secretary of the United States of America, Antony J. Blinken had a telephonic conversation with Pedro Castillo, the President-elect of Peru. During his conversation, he congratulated the Peruvian people for the electoral process, reflective of a thriving democracy. He expressed his gratitude to Peru for its support regarding the crisis of Venezuela. He further expressed his hope that Peru will similarly address the worsening situations of Cuba and Nicaragua.
