Washington: July 14, 2021 – (TDI): The US Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken held a telephonic contact with the President of Mozambique, Filip Nyusi. During the call, both officials expressed their resolve to enhance US – Mozambique bilateral relations. They noted the significance of this bilateral partnership, especially in regards to fighting ISIS. The US Secretary noted the US assistance to Mozambique in the fight against Covid-19 by supporting the latter’s health sector through investments. He further shared his wishes to enhance cooperation in different aspects, including governance and economic development.
