Entebbe, 8 October 2021(TDI): President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni has received greetings from US President Joe Biden, on Uganda’s 59th Independence day.
On Saturday October 9, Uganda will celebrate its 59th independence day.
The United States Ambassador to Uganda, Natalie Brown delivered the message to President Yoweri Museveni at State House in Entebbe.

The meeting was attended by Oreym Henry Okello, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and the Permanent Secretary, Waiswa Bagiire Vincent. They discussed bilateral and regional issues.
Christopher Krafft, Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in Kampala was also present in the meeting.
President of Uganda also expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for the message. And praised the United States Government for sending COVID-19 vaccines to Uganda.
Uganda has received 2,321,350 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine from the United States. On 20th September, US delivered 1,674,270 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, along with the delivery of 647,080 Moderna doses on 6th September.
