US Gifted 373,230 Vaccine doses to Cote d’Ivoire

Abidjan, 13 September 2021 (TDI): Cote d’Ivoire received 373,230 doses of Pfizer vaccine from the United States on Sunday. The US delivered the supplies under the COVAX initiative, a global effort to speed up the vaccination process across the world. The US State Department showed contentment over the arrival of Pfizer doses to Abidjan through Gavi, the vaccine alliance.
To tackle the adverse effects of COVID-19 in Africa, the United States has vowed to help the African states recover from the pandemic, by donating vaccines under the COVAX program. According to the US, providing Pfizer vaccines to Africa is an essential part of their commitment to saving maximum lives during the pandemic.
