US expressed gratitude to Kuwait

Kuwait City, 23 August 2021(TDI): Ambassador of the United States of America to Kuwait, Alina Romanowski said in a tweet that the United States is thankful to the Emir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for his dedication to humanitarian endeavor and their bilateral cooperation. Kuwait has approved the transit of 5,000 Afghans to the US.

“We are proud of our partnership with Kuwait, One of our closest allies in the region – in our joint support of Afghans at risk”, Ambassador Romanowski added.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this high approval is in recognition of the strategic connections between Kuwait and the United States of America, as well as an expansion of their current collaboration, and a continuance of Kuwait’s humanitarian involvement, emphasizing the need of providing safe passage for diplomats and other foreign nationals, as well as aiding evacuations from Afghanistan.
