Washington, 18 August 2021 (TDI): On Tuesday, the spokesperson of the United States of America, Ned Price, congratulated President-elect Hakainde Hichilema on scoring a landslide victory in Zambia’s General Elections and also congratulated the people of Zambia. The US government is excited to work with the new government of Zambia to advance their mutual interests and strengthen the friendly relations between the two nations. The United States also expressed reaffirmation of its strong partnership with Zambia and its people.
