San Salvador, 5 September 2022 (TDI): The United States New Hampshire Airmen conducted cyber training with partners from El Salvador under the State Partnership Program.
The collaborative training enabled both cyber teams to exchange digital agendas, policies, and tools to safeguard infrastructure and prevent vulnerabilities.
The New Hampshire National Guard and Salvadoran cyber offices included Airmen, Soldiers, and civilians with varying levels of technical experience and rank.
Some officers have participated in the international cyber collaboration since 2016 when the exchange between the two programs began.

Remarks by Executive Officer of Salvadoran Cybersecurity Unit
According to 1st Lt. Marvin Giron, the executive officer of the Salvadoran cybersecurity unit, the armed forces are working to establish an official cybersecurity unit by 2024 with eight full-time members.
” In order to support a strong national cybersecurity network, all of our members need to be certified and trained,” said Giron. “We hope to supplement our digital agenda with these training plans and methods for sharing information.”
Additionally, Dwyer and Staff Sergeant Nathan Proulx, a client systems operations technician from the 157th Communications Flight, exhibited open-source scanning software, training programs, and automated tools.
The Airmen demonstrated how the tools enable members to practice text-based operating system commands and strengthen the infrastructure.
In order to establish a robust national cybersecurity network, all of the members must be certified and trained.
At the conclusion of the conversation, there was a perceptible bond between the two groups.
