Significance of Digitalization

Digitalization is a crucial aspect of UNIDO’s agenda as it helps in bringing innovation. The phenomenon of digitalization reduces hunger by helping businesses from farm to fork.

In addition, it prevents climate breakdown by using renewable energy and energy efficiency to reduce industrial greenhouse gas emissions.

Moreover, digitalization supports sustainable supply chains so that developing country producers get a fair deal and scarce resources are preserved.

In short, digitalization helps to work faster and smarter, and deliver more value to customers.
