Aim of the Transforming Education pre-summit
The meeting aims to prioritize quality education as a global public good. It is also to lay down the shared vision and shared suggested actions for the Summit taking place in September. The Transforming Education Summit will take place in New York, the United States this September.
Before the Pre-summit, a youth-led Global Engagement will take place bringing the voices of all youths together. It will also help the voices and opinions of the young regarding the transformation of Education to be heard.
The Transforming Education pre-summit will, therefore, offer an Inclusive and open platform for:
Countries that have advanced their national consultations to present the results of their consultations. They will also be able to share important areas of their commitment to transforming education to encourage other countries.
Each thematic Action Track will present spotlight initiatives coming from the initial discussion papers. They will also look for possible coalitions and partnerships to bring these to scale in the lead-up to the summit.
Creating momentum and serving as an important achievement toward a global movement for education, showcasing countries and education leaders. Through this platform children, young people, students, and parents will share their voices and make their voices heard. Therefore, this will allow all partners to unite and work to transform education.
