Islamabad, 6 September 2021 (TDI): Knut Ostby Resident Representative, UNDP Pakistan on 6th September met the provisional AIDs Program Manager. Punjab Aids Control Program & UNAIDS Pakistan were part of the meeting. The meeting held in Islamabad discusses the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
HIV/Aid is declared as a potential public Health Threat by 2030. The possibility of starting the Global Fund, a worldwide movement to defeat HIV, TB and malaria was also discussed in the meeting. The possibilities and the opportunities to build a healthier and safe future with the help of Global fun in Pakistan were the cruces of the meeting. Resident Representative UNDP assured the meeting of active dialogue regarding the issue. They started working towards ending Aid and educating the population.
