UNDP reminder COP26 because Climate action matters

New York, 1 October 2021 (TDI): one month is left until COP6, so UNDP urged people to take action as there is no B Planet and Climate Action matters. UNDP advised industrialized countries to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement and organize $100 billion yearly in climate finance to support the needs of developing nations.

On this occasion, multiple well-known personalities share their thoughts on the climate emergency. According to Jeremy Corbyn – MP for Islington North, a climate emergency is here and now. People all over the world are already hurting, even losing their life from “natural” disasters, forced displacement, food shortages, and many more.

Antonio Guterres – Secretary-General of the UN tweeted, the choice is either save the world or condemn humanity to a hellish future. He urged all nations to boost their climate action plans immediately to get on the right track.

The UN encouraged leaders all over the world to take action to build a future of peace, opportunity, and dignity for all on a healthy planet. Young people all globally are at the forefront of climate action. They are generating positive solutions, advocating for climate justice, and holding ministers to account.
