Islamabad, 30 September 2021 (TDI): UNDP hosted a Design Think Workshop for the National Initiative on Sustainable Development Goals Programme in Pakistan. The aim of this workshop was to consult project teams and also the Government of Pakistan counterparts in designing a strategic framework for the next SDGs programme. This will help in targeting every audience and no one will be left behind in the next SDGs cycle.
In this workshop, Knut Ostby – Resident Representative of UNDP in Pakistan said “the Design Think Workshop on Sustainable Development Goals is a testament to the valuable relationship between the Government of Pakistan and UNDP. This will be beneficial for both parties in setting agenda and strategic planning for the next step in the SDGs journey of Pakistan”.
Julien Harneis – United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, highlighted “the huge potential of leveraging partnership between the Government of Pakistan, UNDP Pakistan’s SDGs Units and UN agencies in order to achieve agenda 2030 at the provincial level”. Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan who is Deputy Chairman was also present. He stated that “Pakistan needs to focus on thinking of new ideas and making new goals to counter the SDGs challenges”.
