Tripoli, 03 September 2021 (TDI): Ministry of Foreign Affairs Libya released a statement that Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Omar Keti met with the Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for the Near East and North Africa, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Abdulhakim El-Waer on Thursday in Tashkent.
During the meeting, both sides discussed and reviewed the preparations for the UN’s World Summit on World Food Systems that will be held this month along with the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.
Abdulhakim El-Waer asserted that the participation of Libya in this international forum is necessary. Also, he stated that Libya needs to work under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant Ministries to focus on the preparations of national plans and programs of the organization.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured the Libyan cooperation for the preparations of the strategies for the summit.
