New York City, 19 Sept. 2021 (TDI): 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, started on Tuesday 14th Sept. 2021. That day Abdullah Shahid from the Maldives, sworn in as the General Assembly President & Abdullah opened the 76th session. The first day of the General Debate will be on Tuesday, 21st Sept. 2021, the general debate will take place from 21 Sept to 27 Sept. 2021. Keeping in view that United Nations is the main policy-making organ of the UN.
Due to the global pandemic, the size of delegations allowed in GA hall will be Specific & the UN members states are encouraged to provide pre-recorded statements in lieu of traveling to United Nations Headquarters. Over 100 Heads of the state are expected to attend in person.
