London/Islamabad, 30 August 2022 (TDI): The United Kingdom (UK) is standing firm in solidarity with Pakistan. The Queen of the UK and the Prince of Wales sent a sympathetic message to the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi.
Also, the UK’s Prime Minister and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expressed their concerns over Pakistan’s situation.
Queen of the UK’s Message
The Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom (UK) sent a special message to the President of Pakistan. The message was regarding the situation of floods in Pakistan.
The Queen has sent a message to the President of Pakistan following the floods across the country:

The Queen has condoled the situation Pakistan is facing. Moreover, she has assured the support of the United Kingdom for Pakistan in this difficult time.
She said, “I am deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of life and destruction caused by the floods across Pakistan.”
“My thoughts are with all those who have been affected, as well as those working in difficult circumstances to support the recovery efforts.”
“The United Kingdom stands in solidarity with Pakistan as you recover from these terrible events.”
Prince of Wales’ Message
The Prince of Wales, Charles Philip Arthur has also sent a message of sympathy and support to the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi.

The message states, “My wife and I are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the recent floods in Pakistan.
“Our hearts go out to all the victims and their loved ones and to the millions of people who have lost property and their livelihoods. Your country is very special to us, with deep and enduring bonds to the United Kingdom.”
The Islamic Relief UK has thanked the Prince of Wales for donations to support the people of Pakistan, since Pakistan is facing heavy and catastrophic floods due to unprecedented rainfall in this monsoon.
