UK Minister met Punjab officials and climate activists


Lahore: June 23, 2021-(TDI):  Today, the UK minister of State and Commonwealth to South Asia met Punjab province officials. They exchange dialogues on bilateral cooperation. He also met climate change activists in Lahore.

In meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Punjab Governor Muhammad Sarwar, they discussed enduring partnerships on health and education developments. The UK Minister was happy for growing people-to-people connections and to meet both the officials.

Later on, British High Commissioner Christian Turner joined him in the meeting with climate change activists. In the meeting, UK minister Tariq Ahmed appreciated the work of the young activist. They also discussed the UK hosting the upcoming 26th UN Climate Change Conference. The UK minister uplifted climate change activists and advised them to continue working for climate change.

The UK Minister arrived yesterday for the two-day official visit to Pakistan.
