Abu Dhabi, 22 August 2021 (TDI): UAE has agreed to host five thousand evacuees to support the US efforts in Afghanistan. These people are likely to reach UAE in the coming days. The UAE Embassy in the US confirmed that the decision has been made in support of the US efforts in Afghanistan. US planes will bring them to UAE from Kabul. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of UAE further clarified that these evacuees will be allowed to live in the UAE for a temporary period. UAE has already been facilitating dozens of flights coming from Kabul and has successfully facilitated the evacuation of more than 8000 foreign nations.
