MFA UAE Honors its Strategic Partners

Abu Dhabi, 26 March 2022 (TDI): The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) has honored its strategic partners from the government and business sectors in appreciation of their efforts and contributions towards enhancing the Ministry’s work and advancing UAE’s economic diplomacy efforts worldwide.

The event, conducted on the margins of the 16th UAE Ambassadors Forum, strengthens the Ministry’s and its partners’ long-term collaboration to serve the UAE’s interests and accomplish its strategic goals on a variety of political, economic, and cultural fronts.

Abdulnasser Alshaali, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs at MoFAIC, said: “The partnership that brought us together — diplomats, foreign missions and national companies — constituted the driving force behind their success during this period.

Moreover, the Principles of the 50 elevated this collaboration and placed the economy at the forefront of the UAE’s foreign policy goals.”

Further he added that they are satisfied with the success which they have achieved together within the UAE’s economic diplomacy framework.

He recalled the partnerships that resulted in the distribution and production of vaccines, safe travel corridors and foreign investments in areas of food security, technology and transportation.

Besides, in 2021 the partnership between the public and private sectors against the money laundering and terrorist financing have made possible to achieve the national vision and to meet the international obligations.

Following institutions were included in the list of honorees: the UAE Central Bank; the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry; Mubadala Investment Company; and the General Civil Aviation Authority.

Likewise,  ADQ Holding; Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company; DP World; Abu Dhabi Global Market; DMCC; Dubai Financial Services Authority; Dubai FDI; and the Executive Office to Combat Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing were also included.

UAE Ambassadors Forum is held annually in Abu Dhabi which reflects the keenness of MoFAIC to nurture the interactions between ministers, officials, UAE ambassadors and the representatives in abroad.

Said forum aims to promote the exchange of views and insight on regional and international developments while ensuring the proactiveness of the UAE’s foreign policy.
