Dubai (TDI): The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, which targeted police personnel and left multiple casualties.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its “strong condemnation of these criminal acts” and its “permanent rejection of all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability.” The ministry extended condolences to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Pakistan, while wishing a swift recovery for the injured.
The statement comes as militant violence surges in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, prompting intensified intelligence-led operations by security forces.
According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces killed 34 militants in recent high-tempo operations. Of these, 26 were linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (Fitna al-Khawarij) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while eight, described as Fitna al-Hindustan, were neutralised in Sambaza, Zhob district.

Forces also foiled an infiltration near Hassan Khel in North Waziristan, killing an Afghan national affiliated with the militant network. Operations in Lakki Marwat, Bannu, and Mir Ali resulted in additional militant casualties and the recovery of weapons and ammunition.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said terrorists often retaliate following operations against their hideouts in Afghanistan. Intelligence agencies have warned of a potential rise in attacks targeting urban areas, markets, security forces, and places of worship.
Data from the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project shows that terrorist incidents in Pakistan have surged nearly fourfold, rising from 658 in 2022 to 2,425 in 2025, highlighting growing security challenges.

In a recent response, Pakistan conducted intelligence-based strikes against terrorist camps in Afghanistan, following a series of deadly attacks during Ramazan, including a bombing at an Imambargah in Islamabad and multiple blasts in Bajaur and Bannu. Islamabad says it has conclusive evidence linking the attacks to militants operating from Afghan territory, raising tensions between the two countries.
