Ashgabat, 16 July 2024 (TDI): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has expressed deep concern and strong condemnation following an attack on former US President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
The incident, which resulted in minor injuries to Trump’s right ear, has been met with swift responses from international leaders.
The assailant, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot dead by law enforcement officials on the scene. Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement vehemently denouncing the act of violence and wishing Donald Trump a quick and full recovery.
“Turkmenistan expresses deep concern over the news of the attempt on the life of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. We strongly condemn this act of violence and wish Donald Trump a speedy recovery,” the statement read.
