Islamabad, 2 September 2022 (TDI): Turkish Ministers arrived in Pakistan on the morning of September 2. The Ministers will hold meetings with Pakistani counterparts during the visit.
Interior Minister of Turkiye, Suleyman Soylu, and Turkish Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Minister, Murat Kurum have reached Pakistan under the direction of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Interior Minister of Pakistan; Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister for Climate Change; Sherry Rehman, Federal Minister Planning & Development; Ahsan Iqbal and Mehmet Pacaci; the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye welcomed the Turkish Ministers.

The two Ministers have reached along with a vast group that includes President Yunus Sezer of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), Housing Management Authority (TOKİ) Chief Omer Bulut, and civil society members.
Flood Related Engagements
The Ministers and group will go to the worst-affected regions of Pakistan and meet with government ministers and local officials.
They will also monitor the distribution of disaster relief and the operations of social action on the ground to support local Pakistanis.
In the last few days, Turkiye has delivered six aeroplanes and a train loaded with humanitarian goods to Pakistan. It plans to boost its delivery in response to the observations of the Turkish team that arrived in Pakistan.

Turkiye is providing lifesaving supplies to Pakistani people in response to the country’s disastrous floods. Thus far, the Turkish government has dispatched many aircraft stuffed with tents, food, medicine, and other supplies to Pakistan.
The Turkish Red Crescent is also assisting in the distribution of meals and clean drinking water in the province of Balochistan.
In a statement issued on August 31, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif praised President Erdogan for Turkey’s assistance to Pakistan.
Turkish top authorities engaged with their respective counterparts to convey the Turkish people’s sympathies.
