Turkish Embassy in Islamabad and its Consulate General in Karachi have actively engaged in community work this Ramadan.
Consul General, Cemal Sangu, has been busy in visiting old age facilities and various locally-organized Iftar programs while also personally supervising Iftar drives and dinners.
All of these activities are part of Türkiye Ramadan 2025 outreach plan, since the Holy month is revered equally in Pakistan and Türkiye, and its spirit lies in sharing and giving.
In his most-recent engagement, he spent an Iftar at the Agosh old-age care facility.
Appreciating the caregivers at the Agosh facility and the dedication they put in, he said, “Huge compliments for the management for their excellent and noble service to the elderly angels.”
It was a privilege to have Iftar with 50 the most beautiful, kind and compassionate elderly angels of Agosh Nursing Home and to distribute Ramadan gifts to them. May Almighty Allah grant them all a long and healthy life. Huge compliments the management for their excellent… pic.twitter.com/q10eWWRVka

As Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, Ramadan distribution drives focus on gifts, like new clothes and shoes, so that everyone can rejoice and celebrate.
The gifts distribution at the Fatima Public School was carried out in the same spirit.
Türkiye’s public outreach programs in Pakistan are more often focused on children and education.
The Turkish Maarif Foundation and the schools it runs are one example of it.
Türkiye and Pakistan have a brotherly relationship and its mission in Pakistan reflects and maintains this core principle of the bilateral relations.
