Trump Launches Website for $5M US Residency Visa

Washington (TDI): President Donald Trump has rolled out a new website inviting early interest in a proposed US residency program that would offer a visa to wealthy applicants for a hefty price tag of $5 million.

The US President announced on Wednesday that the waitlist for what’s being dubbed the “Trump Card” visa is now open at TrumpCard.gov.

The site is accepting preliminary sign-ups, allowing visitors to enter their name, preferred visa type, and contact information.

“People from all over the world are eager to know how they can become part of the American dream,” Trump said in a statement. “This is their chance.”

The visa isn’t available yet, but interest has been building since Trump introduced the idea aboard Air Force One earlier this year. He unveiled a shiny golden card with his image on it and claimed it would likely launch within weeks.

Marketed as a premium alternative to the traditional green card, the $5 million visa would be aimed at entrepreneurs and investors, those who, according to Trump, would “create jobs and help rebuild the economy.”

While critics have raised questions about fairness and access, Trump has argued that the program could be a creative way to ease the national debt. He also noted that it would offer a path to US citizenship for successful applicants.

Trump previously said his administration hoped to issue up to a million of these visas and did not dismiss the idea that wealthy Russians or foreign elites could be among the applicants.

The website’s launch coincides with a nationwide uptick in immigration raids, which have triggered protests and renewed scrutiny of the country’s immigration policies.

Meanwhile, Trump’s broader approach continues to face legal and humanitarian challenges.

Despite the controversy, Trump insists the Trump Card represents a new model: high-value immigration based on wealth and investment, not family ties or refugee claims.
