Islamabad (TDI): Today is the last date for submitting Hajj applications under the government scheme, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has said.
Spokesperson of the ministry said collection of dues in installments this year has led to increased Hajj applications.
A day earlier, the ministry urged the overseas Pakistanis to ensure their participation in the scheme by sending their sponsorship by today.
According to officials, over 54,000 applications have been received under the Government Hajj Scheme till Yesterday.

The number of applications was expected to increase further by midnight. A spokesperson of the ministry stated that it is anticipated that the quota for the Government Hajj Scheme will be fully subscribed by the end of the day.

Hajj flight schedule will be finalized as soon as the application process concludes.
The accommodations being secured in Madina Munawara in line with the flight itineraries and arrangements for accommodation, meals, transportation, and logistical services, including Maktab allocations, will be completed in Saudi Arabia, the spokesperson further stated.
