Dubai (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Faisal Niaz Tirmizi on Tuesday highlighted the country’s rich cultural and artistic diversity and underscored the vital role of the creative industry as a form of soft power in shaping global perception of Pakistan.
The envoy along with Consul General Hussain Muhammad and other members of the Pakistan’s diplomatic mission in UAE participated in a special ceremony in Dubai, organized to honor famous Pakistani actors Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan for their outstanding contributions to the arts and cinema.
During the ceremony, the envoy presented commemorative shields to the artists.
A large number of Pakistani community members in UAE also attended the ceremony.
