Third International PACES to be held in Lahore

Pakistan Army welcomes Jordan, Iraq, UAE, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Myanmar and Egypt to the 3rd International PACES competition 2021.

Lahore, 30 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan Army is organizing the third International  PhysicalAgility and Combat Efficiency System (PACES) Competition in Lahore.

A total of six countries will take part in the competition. The competition will commence from 1st November 2021 in fortress stadium Lahore. The competition will conclude at Ayub Stadium on 7th November 2021.

The participants are from Iraq, Jordan, UAE, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, and Palestine. Participants from Jordan, Palestine, Sri Lanka, and UAE have arrived in Lahore. Teams from Uzbekistan and Iraq will arrive on 31 October 2021.

A total of 107 military personnel from these 6 countries will compete in this mega event. Pakistan’s participation in the competition will comprise 121 players from 9 teams of the Pakistan Army. Myanmar, Indonesia, and Egypt will participate as observers in this international competition.

This is the third time the show is being organized in Lahore. The 1st and 2nd International Paces competitions happened in 2016 and 2018 in Lahore.

The event will likely promote sports tourism in the country and ameliorate Pakistan’s standing as a host. Pakistan’s efforts in hosting this mega event will also improve the relations with the participating nations.
