Orenburg, 16 September 2021 (TDI): The ongoing SCO member states’ anti-terrorism and anti-extremism military drills are taking place in Orenburg, the city of Russia. The military exercises kicked off on September 11 and will come to conclusion on September 25. 

China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are participating in this Peace Mission; all these states are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Among the total troops taking part in the Orenburg exercise, 558  troops are Chinese and around 4,000 military staff are from other member states.

The regional military drills have target establishing strong military allies between member states, show their capabilities of fighting, and making joint cooperation for peace and stability of the region.
