The Non-Aligned Summit receives Saudi Officials

Belgrade, 11 October 2021 (TDI): Serbia welcomed officials from various nations, including Saudi Arabia ahead of the Non-Aligned Summit.

Around 80 high-level delegations, led by Heads of State and 40 Foreign Ministers were expected to attend the meeting. This meeting is celebrated to mark the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement in Serbia and Azerbaijan.

At the Non-Aligned Summit, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with the Foreign Minister of Iraq. In that sense, the two sides discussed solid relations and close cooperation between them. 

Likewise, Saudi Press Agency reported that diplomats also wish to strengthen aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields and ways to support and develop it. This meeting is held at the same time as Iraq is voted in the new elections.

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is an international organization that promotes the interests and ambitions of developing countries. Therefore, the countries will review its trajectory, and discuss ways to support the development of developing countries.
