Telephonic contact between PM Trudeau and King of Jordan

Ontario: July 02, 2021 – (TDI):   The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau had telephonic contact with the King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan. Their discussion revolved around the matters of the region, including political development, security development, and the Syria conflict. They reaffirmed the significance of bringing peace in the Middle Eastern region and making it secure. The Canadian Prime Minister reiterated Canada’s humanitarian and diplomatic support to Jordan. They expressed their resolve to counter-terrorism, extremism, and all types of hate including Islamophobia and antisemitism. During the call, Mr. Trudeau mentioned the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Marc Garneau’s visit to the Middle East. He also applauded Jordan for its efforts to improve regional peace and security. They addressed the strong bilateral relations between both nations and their ambition to further enhance them.
