Kabul, 22 September 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Amir Khan Muttaqi has requested a speech at the UN General Assembly. Amir Khan Muttaqi made the request in a letter to UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres.
The Taliban have asked to address the world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly which is scheduled this week in New York City. Suhail Shaheen is announced as Afghanistan’s Ambassador to United Nations by the Taliban government. Also, he is Doha based spokesperson.
The Taliban are trying to gather international support through the platform of the United Nations.
