Dushanbe, 12 December 2022 (TDI): The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affair of Tajikistan, Sharaf Sheralizoda met with the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, David Grichting to foster stronger bilateral relations.
In line with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic establishment between Tajikistan and Switzerland, the two sides further exchanged congratulatory messages on behalf of their heads of state.
In addition, they talked about issues that will raise their relations standard higher. Touching on the issue of stronger bilateral relations, both sides emphasized the need to support each other.
They also added that their areas of interest regarding international relations must be held in high esteem and well protected. Also, cooperation between both countries within the international financial institutions was another major issue of concern.
Their ability to position themselves well during this time of economic challenges in the international community is a paramount task for them.
The various international financial institutions like the World Bank, IMF, and others where countries go for help were a topic to consider. Furthermore, they both agreed on the need to look more into their trade terms and for them to improve their economics.

The global economic challenges as a result of the pandemic and the crisis between Ukraine and Russia have had a huge impact on many countries.
In this vein, the two countries are looking at ways to be able to solve their challenges diplomatically and through bilateral relations.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan applauded the government of Swiss for their support adding that Tajikistan is always ready for any partnership from the government of Swiss.
He continued to emphasize the importance of peaceful coexistence even as they move ahead on their deals saying that will promote development among them.
It is pertinent to note that, the long-standing diplomatic relations between both countries have been protected by mutual trust and they seek to keep it in place. They have both benefited from each other since their relations started.
