Vienna, 20 October 2021 (TDI): Tajik delegation headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Sharaf Sheralizoda participated in the Vienna Conference on Migration under the title of “Re-imagining migration partnerships: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategies”
The conference focused on the current state of migration in various parts of the world, including the impact of political and security developments in Afghanistan.
During the event, Sheralizoda as a keynote speaker outlined Tajikistan’s position about the current and future priorities of the international community on how to improve the situation in Afghanistan. At the end of the meeting, he answered the questions from the audience on the subject.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sharaf Sheralizoda has also met with the Director-General of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Li Yong. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the Vienna Conference.
The sides discussed the implementation of UNIDO joint projects in Tajikistan. The parties expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and UNIDO.
