Damascus (TDI): The head of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces, Hadi al-Bahra, formally announced the fall of President Bashar al-Assad’s government, marking a pivotal moment in Syria’s history.
Al-Bahra proclaimed, “I announce to you the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime,” adding that a dark chapter had come to an end, Al Arabiya reported.
Assuring the public of safety and stability, he stressed, “There is no room for revenge or retaliation,” and revealed plans to restructure the Syrian army to align with the new political reality.
Peaceful Transition in Syria
The Syrian prime minister has expressed willingness to hand over power to opposition forces, paving the way for a peaceful transition.
Al-Bahra assured citizens that government institutions would resume operations within two days and that the transfer of power would occur in coordination with the United Nations.

Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, leader of the Military Operations Administration, instructed his forces to refrain from entering official institutions in Damascus.
He emphasized that these facilities would remain under the caretaker authority of the prime minister until a formal handover is complete, according to AFP.
