Supporting Hezbollah Criminal Act in UK: British Minister

-

LONDON (TDI): UK’s Science Secretary (Minister) Peter Kyle has warned that displaying support for Hezbollah constituted a criminal act as support of any proscribed terrorist organization should be punished.

According to Arab news, he stated this after pro-Hezbollah slogans were seen during a pro-Palestine demonstration in central London over the weekend.

Citing Sky News, the report added that the metropolitan police had already arrested 17 protesters including two individual allegedly supporting banned organizations.

Kyle appeared on the Sky News program “Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips” and said law enforcement agencies had support of the home secretary, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and the government in doing what they are supposed to do, to make sure that criminal acts are tackled.

The demonstrations and protests were carried out amid rising tensions in the Middle East, with Israel’s air raids and attacks on territories in Lebanon claiming its assaults mean to target Hezbollah.

Iran has also launched missile attacks against Israel. Israel war in Gaza is still continuing targeting civilians, schools and hospitals.
