Summary: Annual Meeting of heads of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Belarus

-

Minsk- 24 July 2021 (TDI):   Vladimir Makei Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei , summarized the outcomes of the annual seminar of chiefs of diplomatic missions and consular facilities of the Republic of Belarus, which took place on July 23, 2021.

Foreign Minister Vladimir Makey was present at the meeting, which discussed the Foreign Ministry’s problematic aspects of foreign policy and foreign monetary action, as well as specific objectives of Belarusian diplomacy and the circle of relevant tasks for the near future, taking into account the Head of State’s strategic connections.

The Foreign Minister emphasized the most promising avenues of multilateral partnership on the sites of international organizations and within the scope of integration bodies, as well as the essential facets of bilateral cooperation with Belarus’s significant partners in-country and the region.

In the current environment of tremendous sanctions pressure and worsening global competitiveness, special emphasis is being devoted to the promotion of the trade and economic agenda. The Belarusian diplomacy continues to prioritize issues such as enhancing the efficacy of international economic activity, opposing aggressive discriminatory measures, improving the quality of products and services exported and strengthening the commodities chain of Belarusian companies. Traditional partners, such as the EAEU market, and new niches in the “far arc” nations are given special attention in this context.

It was addressed how the information and analytical component of Belarusian diplomacy’s activity is becoming increasingly consequential. Particular information providers, particularly artificial ones have a hugely disproportionate impact on the development of interstate interactions and the construction of a problem that differs from the actuality of impedimental truth.
