Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar met US Senator Chris Murphy.


Connecticut: July 24, 2021- (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met with the Member of the US Senate Chris Murphy on Friday. The meeting was attended by the various representatives of the State of Connecticut.

The topics under discussion during this meeting were related to the bilateral cooperation, investment, and trade projects between the state of Qatar and the State of Connecticut and other related developments in the region.

Chris Murphy a US Senator focused on the extent of strategic relations between both countries. He furthermore appreciated the role of the State of Qatar in allocating $100 million for its efforts of the UN World Food Program in Yemen and to support food security and eradicate famine in Yemen. Qatar also assisted itself in the UN relief and humanitarian projects carried out in the deteriorated region of Yemen.
