Asad Qaiser, Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, and Mustafa Shentop, Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly visited the ancient city of Shusha on Thursday.
Shusha is the ancient city of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, district Shusha. The city was declared the country’s cultural capital in January 2021, it is largely recognized as the birthplace of Azerbaijani music and poetry, as well as one of the most important hubs of Azerbaijani culture and heritage.
Asad Qaiser and Mustafa Shentop are on an official visit to Azerbaijan. Earlier this week, the Speakers of the National Assembly of Pakistan and Turkey met the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and signed Baku Declaration in a Joint Parliamentary Conference convened by Mili Majlis in Baku.
