Beijing, (TDI): Spain and Chinese leadership have agreed that there should be immediate ceasefire in Palestine by Israeli forces.
In a recent diplomatic exchange, the Spanish Prime Minister visits China. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez discussed the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict.
They stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire and renewed efforts towards lasting peace in the region.
The meeting took place virtually between the two leaders indicating the growing concern over escalating violence in the Middle East.
Call for Ceasefire and Peace
Both the President and Prime Minister showed their deep concern over the rising civilian casualties and the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.
They stressed that dialogue and diplomacy are the only viable ways to resolve the decade-long conflict.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed his sentiments and outlined Spain’s dedication to peace and security in the Middle East.
“Spain is seriously disturbed by the current violence. We stand with ceasefire and to address the causes of the conflict,” He said.
Spain Joins South Africa in Genocide Case Against Israel
Spain has joined South Africa in supporting the case brought before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Israel. That is accusing the nation of genocide against the Palestinian people.
This will also escalate the pressure on Israel. Spain signals its firm stance on maintaining accountability.
This decision was announced in the middle of the meeting between Xi and Sanchez. Both leaders are standing idly by while atrocities are committed. Spain will continue to work with an international legal framework to uphold human rights.
