Doha, 4 December 2021 (TDI): Somalian President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Qatar. Qatar’s Minister of the Government, Hamad Al-Kawari, and Somalian Ambassador to Qatar, Abdirisaaq Faarax Ali Taano welcomed the Somalian President at Doha airport. Somalian President attended the opening ceremony of the Arab Football Cup.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisaciid Muuse Ali, Head of Somali Football Relations Abdiqani Said Carab, and Minister of Youth and Sports, Hamsa Said Xamsa also accompany the President on the visit.
Meeting Between Prince of Qatar and Somalia’s President
During the visit, the Somalian President held a meeting with the Prince of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Both agreed to strengthen bilateral relations between two countries. They also discussed ways of developing and enhancing cooperation in various fields, especially the access and prospects of Somali labor in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Both pledged to build effective cooperative ties between Qatar and Somalia. They also discussed the latest development in Somalia and the role of the Somalian government. Moreover, the Somalian President thanked the Emir of Qatar for the infrastructure projects in Somalia.
Projects include the roads of Mogadishu, Afgooye, Balcade, and Jawhar. More, projects also include the center of Somalian government building and broadcasting essential services. These projects are essential for the development of Somalia.
On the other hand, Prince Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani congratulated the President for Somalia’s cooperation with Qatar. He also appreciated the efforts of the government and Somalian people for unity and recovery from challenges. Furthermore, Ministers and other Somalian officials also attended the meeting between both Leaders.
Meeting with Somalian Football Player
The Somalian President also visited Somalian Football player, Hassan Cafif at his home in Doha. Hassan is one of the top Football stars of the Somali team. Likewise, President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo remembers the beautiful movements of Hassan with the Somalian national team, while he thanked the President for visiting him in Doha.
