Cairo, September 13, 2021 (TDI): The meeting of the Council of the League of Arab states was held in Cairo on 9-10 September where the Minister of Somali Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohamed Abdirizak Mohamud discussed the Somali elections along with other major happenings. The Arab foreign ministers showed their support in terms of finance as the local government is looking ahead to the foreign contribution.
Minister Abdirizak stated that despite the progress, Somalia still needs $12 M support from the Arab nations to rebuild government institutions, ensure peaceful democracy, and hold the elections smoothly.
