Slovak Prime Minister meets with Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker

Bratislava, 8 October 2021 (TDI): Eduard Heger, the Slovakian Prime Minister met with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

Sahiba Gafarova, the chair of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic was on her official visit to Slovakia. She was heading a parliamentary delegation in the official visit.

The Slovak Prime Minister welcomed Sahiba Gafarova. The two countries enjoy close relations. Eduard Heger expressed his will to strengthen the bilateral relations. In the meeting, they agreed to expand the bilateral relations by enhancing economic projects between the two states.

The two politicians also agreed on the vast potential of the South Caucasus in providing economic opportunities. But the future of these opportunities depends on the peace and stability of the region.

Coronavirus pandemic was also discussed between them in their meeting. They talked about its effects in the world, especially in Azerbaijan. At the end of the meeting, the Azerbaijani Speaker presented the book to the Slovak Prime Minister with the title of “Garabagh before and after the occupation. She also then expressed her gratitude for the warmly welcome in Slovakia.
